Our expertise lies with trading tools and algorithms created within a Volatility-Based Technical Analysis framework. We make software for hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, and asset management firms. Our solutions achieve the advantages of profitability, probability, and risk management through the use of quantitative design and statistically valid research methodology. We strive to make tools and methods which are objective, quantitative and predictive that can be applied systematically or compliment a discretionary approach.
Kirk Northington, CMT
Kirk is the founder of Northington Trading, LLC, and the co-creator of MetaSwing; advanced analytic software for Bloomberg Professional, MetaStock and TradeStation. He trades his own accounts, and uses MetaSwing technical analysis methods exclusively.

Kirk Northington is a quantitative technical analyst. He is a member of the Market Technicians Association, and is a Chartered Market Technician. Kirk has a BS degree from Nicholls State University, in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He has extensive experience in control system and software engineering.

Carson Dahlberg, CMT
Carson Dahlberg, CMT, is a Quantitative Technical Analyst & Trader. He is the co-creator of MetaSwing for Bloomberg Professional.
Prior to joining Northington Trading as a Partner, Carson was an analyst/trader/relationship manager at Schaeffer’s Investment Research, Wachovia, and Morgan Stanley.
Carson is presently a Director on the Board of the Market Technicians Association. He serves the Market Technicians Association (MTA) in various capacities. He was the founder and first Chapter Chair of the Charlotte Chapter for the MTA. He is the Committee Chair for the Ethics Committee, serves on the Admissions Committee, is the Board Liaison for the Journal of Technical Analysis Committee, and was the Director of the CMTinstitute (an online program to assist analysts in the passing of the CMT examination process).
He received a degree in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati and was awarded the Chartered Market Technician designation in January of 2008.
